The Growing Bakers apprenticeship programme is our award-winning initiative designed to fast-track the development of multi-skilled artisan bakers. Created in response to the UK’s baking skills shortage, this year-long programme blends hands-on learning with expert-led masterclasses in partnership with Plumpton College., a leading specialist training provider renowned for excellence in land-based education and professional development.
Our apprentices gain a deep understanding of both the “how” and the “why” of baking, becoming confident, curious professionals who contribute to higher quality, greater efficiency, and a stronger, more diverse team culture. With a proven track record of graduates advancing into diverse roles and departments across the organisation, Growing Bakers is more than a training scheme — it's a launchpad for meaningful, long-term careers in artisan baking.
